Anne Lauvergeon is graduated from the French National School of Mining Engineer and the Ecole Normale Supérieure, and holds a degree of Physics. She is CEO of AREVA since July 2001, and Chairman and CEO of AREVA NC since June 1999.

 

Anne Lauvergeon is a member of the United Nation’s Global Compact Board, a member of the Brookings International Advisory Council and Chairman of the French Energy Council.

 

In 1997, Ms Lauvergeon was made member of the Alcatel Executive Committee and Senior Executive Vice President in charge of industrial participations. From 1995 to 1997 she was Partner of Lazard Frères & Cie., before she was named Advisor for Economic International Affairs at the French Presidency and Deputy Chief of its Staff in 1991. At the same time she became "Sherpa" to the President, in charge of the G7/G8 Summits’ preparation

 

Anne Lauvergeon began her career in 1983 in the steel industry, before studying chemical safety issues in Europe at the French Atomic Energy Commission
