Mohamed H. Al-Mady has served as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a multinational corporation with operations in over 100 countries focusing on petrochemicals and other related products. He first joined SABIC in 1976 as a chemical engineer and served in a number of key positions before becoming Vice Chairman and CEO in 1998. Al-Mady also serves as Chairman of the SABIC Innovative Plastics Supervisory Board and the SABIC Europe B.V. Supervisory Board.
Al-Mady first graduted with a BS from the University of Colordo and then an MA in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He also serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO), Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association, and is a board member of the Aluminum Bahrain and Boao Forum for Asia. He also serves on the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum and the International Advisory Boards of Prince Mohammed bin Fahad University, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, and King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals. Al-Mady is also a Fellow at London Business School.
